The LAB Antimall, an alternative way to eat and shop in Costa Mesa
Little American Business. That’s what LAB means and that’s what the LAB Antimall is.
What used to be a goggle factory in the early 90s, today is a very popular hipster spot, and our all time favorite. The Lab is an alterna-mall located in the heart of Costa Mesa that houses several stores and restaurants with an unconventional and artsy aesthetic.
From unique spots like Gypsy Den Cafe or Cuban bistro Habana, to vintage clothing or airstream trailers turned into a jewelry or a vinyl record store. The Lab is the perfect spot to relax, grab a bite, or do some shopping.
Here are some of our favorite things to do:
- Get a coffee fix at Cafecito Organico.
- Relax in the seating area next to the wall of barrels or on the swings.
- Have a beer at Habana. They serve Estrella Damm, our favorite Barcelona beer.
- Get a poke bowl at Calipoke.
- Drink bottomless mimosas at Gypsy Den.
- Check out the rings and necklaces at May Martin. It’s really hard to pick just one!
- Please your sweet tooth with some Honey & Butter macarons. The lines get pretty crazy on the weekends.
